Cookie Policy

Effective Date: 1 January 2026 | Last Updated: 25 December 2025

This Cookie Policy explains how altx forms (altxforms.ai, app.altxforms.ai) uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

1. WHAT COOKIES ARE

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as local storage and session storage. Cookies serve four broad purposes: making the site work (essential), remembering your preferences (preference), helping us understand how the site is used (analytics), and delivering personalised marketing (marketing).

2. CATEGORIES WE USE

We organise cookies into the four categories below. On your first visit, you see a consent banner that lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or customise per category. You can revisit your choices at any time via the Manage cookie preferences link in our footer.

2.1 Essential cookies (always on)

Required for the site to work and to keep you secure. Without these, the site cannot function. We do not ask for consent for essential cookies because they are necessary to deliver the Service.

  • altx_cookie_consent — your cookie preferences (1 year).
  • Auth0 / session tokens — keep you signed in on app.altxforms.ai; protect against CSRF (Session).
  • AWS load-balancer cookie — distributes traffic across application servers (Session).
  • CSRF token — cross-site request forgery protection (Session).

2.2 Preference cookies

Remember choices you make that improve your experience (e.g., theme, last-used form builder view). Disabling these may make the site less convenient but it will still function.

  • altx_ui_pref_* — UI preferences such as panel size, theme, last-selected filter (1 year).

2.3 Analytics cookies

Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Aggregated and de-identified; no individual profiling. Loaded only with your consent.

  • _ga, _gid, _gat (where applicable) — aggregate site analytics. Configured to anonymise IP addresses and not to share data for advertising purposes (up to 24 months).
  • altx_analytics_session — session-level usage telemetry to identify performance bottlenecks; not tied to your identity (Session).

2.4 Marketing cookies

Used to deliver relevant advertisements and measure campaign effectiveness, including on third-party platforms (e.g., LinkedIn). Disabled by default and loaded only with your explicit consent.

  • LinkedIn pixel cookies (li_at, lidc, bcookie) — measure LinkedIn ad effectiveness and serve relevant ads (up to 2 years).
  • altx_campaign_attribution — attribute account sign-ups back to the originating marketing campaign (30 days).
Specific cookies in each category may change as we add or remove tools. The consent banner always reflects the current categories at the time of consent. If you want a current itemised list, contact us at privacy@altx.one.

3. HOW TO MANAGE YOUR CHOICES

  • Use the Manage cookie preferences link to re-open the consent banner at any time.
  • Your browser also lets you delete cookies and block them by default. Each browser is slightly different; refer to your browser’s documentation (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
  • Blocking essential cookies will prevent the site from working as intended.

4. DO NOT TRACK

Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret this signal consistently, we do not currently respond to it. We respect the granular choices you make via our consent banner instead.

5. CHILDREN

Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly use cookies to collect personal data from children.

6. CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. When we make a material change — for example, adding a new category or a new marketing tag — we will re-prompt the consent banner so you can review your choices. The “Last Updated” date above will be revised.
